Would white chocolate have been less offensive?
The "My Sweet Lord" display was shut down by the hotel that houses the Lab Gallery in midtown Manhattan, said Matt Semler, the gallery's creative director. Semler said he submitted his resignation after officials at the Roger Smith Hotel shut down the show.I don't know about all of this "surrending to religious protest" though. What exactly is going on in the world?
The six-foot sculpture was the victim of "a strong-arming from people who haven't seen the show, seen what we're doing," Semler said. "They jumped to conclusions completely contrary to our intentions."

I remember reading it and they said they objected to him being naked
which too didn't make sense, why he couldn't take some more chocolate and cover him up?
personally for me at Easter, with the easter eggs and so on the thought of an edible Jesus wasn't so comforting
